Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen (born 6 May 1964) is an actor from Denmark. Danish actor from Denmark. He has played Copenhagen mayoral candidate Troels Hartmann in the The Killing drama, Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third series of Sherlock and the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the American House of Cards on Netflix and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels. In 2011, he won the Reumert Prize of Honour At at the age of 27 He was enrolled in the National Theatre School of Denmark from which he was graduated in the year 1995. He was also a part of The Killing's drama. Then, he appeared in Borgen III and Those Who Kill and Those Who Kill, both internationally recognized Danish drama series. He was the President of Russia in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock. He won an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his role in Danish drama Herrens Veje. It was aired in the UK in the year 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm
