Reese Witherspoon

Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon (born on March 22 1976) is an American actress. She has been awarded many accolades, including an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Time magazine and Forbes both have named her among the 100 most influential people on the world in 2005 and in 2006 and 2006, respectively. Forbes has named her the world's most wealthy actress in 2021. Witherspoon has an estimated amount of $400 million in her net worth. Witherspoon made her screen debut in The Man in the Moon (1991). Her breakout came in 1999, with a supporting role in Cruel Intentions as well as her role as Tracy Flick in the black comedy Election. Elle Woods, a comedy comedy (2001), and its 2003 sequel earned her more recognition. She also starred in Sweet Home Alabama (2002) the romantic comedy. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as June Carter Cash in the musical biopic Walk the Line. After a career slump, that included Water for Elephants (2011) was her only box-office success, Witherspoon decided to make an appearance and produced and play Cheryl Strayed, the drama Wild (2014). The film earned her a second Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. She has continued to perform mostly on television and produced and starred in many female-led adaptations of books under Hello Sunshine. This includes Big Little Lies (2017-2018), The Morning Show (2019-20), and Little Fires Everywhere (2020), all HBO drama series. The first, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited Series. She also produced the film adaptations of Gone Girl (2014) as well as Where the Crawdads Sing (1922). Witherspoon also owns Draper James clothing company and is involved in advocacy organizations for women and children. She is a member of the board of the Children's Defence Fund and was named Global Ambassador for Avon Products in 2007. In this capacity, she also serves as the honorary chair of Avon Foundation's foundation for charitable causes that is dedicated to women's issues.
