Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American author, syndicated writer of columns and businesswoman. She's written 15 books, and she is co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington, an independent liberal news site, is a television personality, author, and charitable donor. After moving from Greece to England from Greece when she was 16 She earned an MA in Economics at Cambridge University. First foreign-born graduate to hold the position of president in the famous debate club The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took over the presidency. The success of her conservative columnist was consolidated after she finished her degree. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online voice portal that offered critiques of the politics. Her popularity enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views on current events, culture and politics. Arianna was first noticed during 2003 when she volunteered in the California recall election replacing then Governor Davis. Apart from this she also was the leader of an Detroit project to promote vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes named her as 12th on its list for the Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their Top 100 list in the year 2010. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of that media group which included many existing AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were a management consultant and journalist. Although she had a close relationship with father, her relationship to her mom was the defining factor in the rest of her life. At an early age, she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. At the age of 16 her family moved into England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college, she joined Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college and eventually was its first female and foreign president. She graduated in 1972 with an honorary degree in Economics. The career of an anchor and reporter was born after graduation. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy.
