For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters from animated films such like Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on the small screen on Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. Southland's highly praised police show, Southland and a recurring role helped Liu re-establish as an established actress.
